The D403 is our new split–bed Class 4 MoT approved braketester. Specifically designed to fit the same concrete recesses as many of the very early models in the market, it has been introduced to minimise the down-time required when replacing old models for new.
For some early models, the installation is a straightforward 'swap' of roller beds, eliminating the need for any extra civil work. The simple installation can often be carried out in just a few hours.
Just like the D402 and D702, the D403 is built to the highest specification and is operated using the same control platform. In standard configuration, the D403 can be used as a stand alone braketester for use in traditional MoT bays, but can also be upgraded at anytime with an eight point weighing system to enable motorcycle testing and making it compatible with the new ATL One Man Test from VOSA.
The D403 has a 2500kg axle load capacity allowing it to perform effortlessly day-in day-out with heavy duty workloads. Similar to the D702, the chassis are a split bed configuration providing extra flexibility when designing MoT bays, and making it very popular as a modern replacement for early obsolete models.
